Comic Workshop for Kids with Mawil
We will look at what holds a comic together at its core. How do individual images become a moving motion picture inside your head? What exactly happens between the panels? How can I – even if I’m not a professional artist – create dramaturgy, action and emotion with simple means like image composition, perspective, timing, gestures and facial expressions? We’ll be trying this out and discussing it with a few small and entertaining exercises.
Feel free to bring your favorite comics or your own work to share, as well as your favorite drawing tools. We will also have some basics to work with on site.
(The workshop is aimed at children/young people who already have experience with comics)
