Victoria Lomasko: “The Last Soviet Artist” (Book launch)
In her travelogues from Armenia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan, the Russian constituent republics of Dagestan and Ingushetia, from Belarus and Russia, Victoria Lomasko is in search of the remains of the Soviet legacy. She combines external events with personal commentaries and describes the social transformation processes in the former Soviet republics.
The “Graphic Reportages” presented were created between 2014 and 2022. In March 2022, Victoria Lomasko left Moscow and currently lives in Leipzig. At the book presentation in Berlin, she will introduce her book “The Last Soviet Artist” and speak with Sandra Frimmel, translator of the book from Russian and author of its afterword.
