Our hygiene and safety plan for the CIB20 is no longer up to date, as our festival must now take place virtually.
Visitors and staff must wear a mouth-and-nose protection at all times.
Visitors can only enter the festival premises with proof of registration for a certain time slot.
Visitors must keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters. All hallways and rooms have sufficient space.
There are defined paths for walking, so as to avoid people bumping into each other as well as the formation of bigger groups.
The number of exhibitors has been reduced in order to ensure sufficient space between the tables.
Visitor Registration
- Due to the mandatory pre-registration with free online tickets, there will be a significantly lower number of simultaneous visitors (200 maximum per time period).
- This registration is not only helpful for contact tracing but is also broken down into time slots.
- Each slot allows a maximum stay of 90 minutes per visitor.
- Each visitor can book several slots, but please only reserve slots that you really want to attend.
- At the end of a slot, all visitors have to exit the festival grounds and re-enter.
- There is a transition time of 30 minutes between each slot to reduce the formation of queues and groups and to enable better air exchange for the air conditioning system.
Distribution of Visitors
- The distribution of the various program items across several rooms and floors ensures that visitors are spatially dispersed.
- Depending on the size, a maximum number of people is permitted inside the respective rooms.
- Visitors are led through separate entrances and exits.

- All tables are equipped with a transparent plastic protective shield to intercept aerosols.
- The museum cash desk is equipped with a plastic protection shield.
- The sanitary facilities are equipped accordingly; in addition, there are sanitizing and disinfectant dispensers in several places throughout the festival premises.
