France is CIB21’s featured country.
This year we invite you to discover aspects of today’s French comics scene that are not so well-known in Germany: the landscapes of zine distribution and indie publishing, a Franco-German comics workshop with all its possibilities for exchange. We want to find similarities, create opportunities for making new contacts, and widen the horizons of our audience on both sides of the Rhine. You’ll also get the chance to get to know Claire Fauvel and her book “Catherine’s War” that was recently published in German!
This featured country programme is coordinated in memory of Laëtitia Graffart (1983-2021), our friend and colleague, who initiated it. In this context we are also presenting the FondsBeton, which supports all kinds of Franco-German comic projects.
