Born in 1977 in Quito, Ecuador as Paola Gaviria, grew up mainly in Colombia, studied art in Medellín, works and lives as an illustrator in her adopted city Buenos Aires.
She is part of the international collective Chicks on Comics and was part of the duo No tan parecidos, with the title Tierra Larga, published in 2019 and also in part in STRAPAZIN # 138.
Her autobiographical, three-volume graphic novel Virus Tropical gained international fame and became an animated movie which was shown at the Berlinale 2019.
