DISKLIE – A comic workshop by the WEIRD
With the help of photocopies provided by friendly artists, participants armed with scissors and glue can shred the comic panels and put them back together to create new comics in the form of pleasurable literary-pictographic-necromantic recycling.
Use pens and markers to refill or censor the speech bubbles. Reinterpreted with Dadaist poetry, everyone can tell the stories they’ve always wanted to read, regardless of bourgeois obsolete values like “talent”: raw, brutal, playful, free, allowing for a therapeutic readjustment of the reader-author relationship. The result, of course, is a monstrous mess of vaguely told patchwork that will be processed into a new zine and printed after the WEIRD event.
