Getting along

The ComicInvasionBerlin Comic Contest
(Contest closed)

Illu: Federico Cacciapaglia

After the fight, there’s reconciliation – do you agree?

This year we’re asking ourselves: does the “bad guy” really need to be vanquished? What if they aren’t as bad as they seem? How would a happy end for everyone look like if for instance Batman and the Joker, Tom and Jerry, the Gauls and the Romans didn’t have to triumph over each other, but instead got along or even became friends? Is it possible to just make amends, apologize and above all forgive the other side…? How can this be attained after the fight is over? Does it help to recognize the good sides of the supposedly evil? Should fighting itself happen with the perspective of getting along? What other actions might help with getting along? Should we even get along at all?

Draw us 1 or 2 pages of comics about reconciliation and/or getting along in a square 21 x 21 cm format. And don’t worry – in this contest there are no “good guys” and no “bad guys”!

And with a little luck, you might win the victor’s trophy!

ComicInvasionBerlin, Berlin’s largest comics festival, is once again hosting its own comics competition again in 2023. The winning comics will be presented and recognized as part of a special awards ceremony. These and other comics will also be exhibited digitally on our website and published in a book.
